2023-2024

  • DPS < 18 was launched as an industry first in Sri Lanka under the brand Flash Teens
  • Commenced work on our first Scandinavian Digital Bank.
  • DPS Islamic Bank gets underway partnering with an industry-leading bank in Sri Lanka with the intention of launching ethical banking.
  • Deep discussions with other banks in implementing the DPS Neo Banking suite.

2022

  • DPS was one of the very first fintechs in Sri Lanka to successfully integrate with Sri Lanka’s Lanka Pay network to provide a unified QR pay initiative through “Lanka QR” and 3rd party bank integrations within the Flash app through the “JustPay” initiative.
  • An industry-first wearable banking module was successfully launched.
  • Work commenced on Digital Banking initiatives with partners in The Maldives and Bangladesh.

2021

  • Flash continued to grow in the Sri Lankan market with record customer registrations.
  • Partnership and technology advancements saw features and functions grow within the app from investment instruments, insurance, goal saving initiatives, and many other 3rd party payment integrations.
  • The DPS Carbon Footprint Algorithm saw the introduction of the Carbon Index module within Flash. The first app in Sri Lanka and only the second in the world to calculate the carbon footprint of each transaction within the Flash App.

2019

  • DPS partnered with Commercial Bank of Ceylon to launch Sri Lanka’s first trilingual Digital Banking platform, “Flash” - Digital Bank Account Powered by Commercial Bank.
  • The speed and agility of the partnership ensured the app was approved by the Central Bank and launched to the public in record time.
  • Flash was truly a game changer in Sri Lanka’s Fintech Space, showing tremendous success with substantial customer registrations.
  • The partnership between DPS and Commercial Bank meant that the platform was able to evolve and provide exciting features to customers that were introduced to the market for the very first time.

2018

  • DPS felt it was time to enhance our platform and grow into a Digital Bank as opposed to simply a Payment Wallet
  • User feedback strengthened our conviction that it was time the platform evolved to a more comprehensive personal financial management system
  • We welcomed the birth of the DPS Digital Bank Platform in 2018

2017

  • Peer 2 Peer payment application was successfully launched to the public in Singapore
  • The app saw tremendous growth and interest especially amongst users within the age groups of 18-35
  • Multiple Singaporean merchants signed up the service

2016

  • Registered the company in Singapore and set up operations.
  • Development center was based in Sri Lanka and Singapore.
  • Launched the first version of our Peer-to-Peer digital wallet in Singapore.
  • Our initiative was supported and approved by the Monetary Authority of Singapore.

2015

  • Developed a Peer 2 Peer Digital Wallet Platform
  • Chosen by globally renowned fintech acceleration programs in Dubai and Singapore
  • Our technology and innovativeness began gaining interest and momentum in the South East Asian Fintech community
